Your information

Privacy policy

Your weight journal and progress photos stay on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back them up. FrameByDay does not require an account.

Effective September 20, 2026

What the app stores

FrameByDay stores the goal you enter, dated weigh-ins, check-in results, reminders, milestone history, and photos you choose to add. This information is used on your device to display your calendar, comparisons, progress, widgets, recaps, cards, and videos.

The app does not send your weights or photos to us. It contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not access location, contacts, or microphone data.

Apple Health

Apple Health syncing is optional and off by default. If you enable it, FrameByDay requests access only to body-weight data. You can separately choose whether FrameByDay may read body-weight entries from HealthKit and save FrameByDay weight entries to HealthKit.

Health data is exchanged directly with HealthKit on your device. FrameByDay does not upload it to us or use it for advertising or analytics. You can review or change access at any time in the Health app or your iPhone settings.

Photos, backup, and permissions

Camera access is requested when you choose to take a photo. The system photo picker gives the app the images you select. Imported images are resized and re-encoded for the journal without retaining the original image metadata.

Journal photos are stored privately within the app. Weight and goal data are stored in local shared storage so the app and its widget can use them. If you enable the Before and Current photo widget, resized thumbnail copies of those two photos are stored in the same private on-device shared space. Turning the widget-photo setting off clears the image data from that shared widget snapshot. FrameByDay lets you create a manual backup file through Apple’s Files picker. You choose whether to save it to iCloud Drive or another location. Backups are not automatic and FrameByDay does not provide cloud synchronization. Basic backups include journal data; Lifetime Pro can also include progress photos.

Purchases

Apple processes the optional lifetime Pro purchase. FrameByDay uses Apple’s StoreKit service to check purchase status, unlock Pro, restore purchases, and respond to refunds or revocations.

We do not receive your payment card details. Apple processes purchase information under its own privacy policy. Pro is a feature unlock and can include photos in a backup file; FrameByDay does not operate cloud storage.

Sharing and deletion

Cards and videos are created locally. Nothing is shared automatically. When you choose a destination in the sharing menu, that destination receives the item you exported, including any dates or weights you included.

You can delete individual journal photos within the app. Deleting the app removes its local journal data. Copies and backup files you save or share elsewhere remain subject to those destinations’ controls and policies. FrameByDay cannot access a backup unless you select it for restore.

If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot. Please avoid sending unnecessary health information or photos.
